While you were in town this past weekend (October 10-11) did you see the Chicora antique car show at Barefoot? Want to see more? Come to the Right Coast Car Show at Broadway at the Beach this coming weekend (16-17) for cool hot rods, spectacular custom cars, and smooth classic cars. Visit the Battleship North Carolina

Not more than an hour’s drive north on Highway 17, you will find the turn into the driveway to park and tour the famous Battleship U. S. S. North Carolina. Attendance at this tourist attraction has been high all summer long, even in the negative economy. H5N1 or H1N1? It's Flu Season

Preparations begin early this year to minimize the spread of flu. Expectations warn of a higher than usual wave this winter of upper respiratory infections across the nation, for several months at least. Flu outbreaks, including swine flu, have prompted officials for the state departments of health to launch aggressive campaigns to recognize and prevent flu. Tips include practicing good hygiene and staying home if sick. Let’s all stay healthy this year!

Party Time! Endless Summer Concert!

Dance on the beach, dance in the street! We’re sending out summer in grand style with an Endless Summer Festival. Party-time starts at 10 AM near the beach, right on Main Street! Bring lawn chairs, relax, listen to the beach bands or dance : Noon-SeaCruz; 1:30 PM-The Catalinas; 3:00 PM-The Fantastic Shakers!
