New Components of our Web Site: Links to Social Networks

Isn't 21st century technology amazing! In many ways, information flows faster and easier than ever before. So, to accommodate our guests' interests in receiving electronic information at their own discretion, we at Towers have added to our web site in the following way to share information about our wonderful beach and beautiful resort.

If you would like to join in and have not already discovered these three facets of our web site located at the bottom of the home page, we hope after reading this article that you will notice them and try them. Link to us and "tweet" to us.

Look for these icons:

TWITTER Started in 2006 as a free social networking and micro-blogging service, Twitter enables its users to send and read other users' updates known as tweets. Regularly, we "tweet" about the beach weather, links to the newsletters, and events that are going on here and around the Grand Strand. When you see this icon, click on it to connect with the Towers on the Grove Twitter site.

FACEBOOK is another social networking website tool, launched in 2004. Users can join networks organized by city, workplace, school, and region to connect and interact with other people. One of the more popular features of Facebook is photo applications where people can post albums with up to 200 photos.

STUMBLEUPON is an internet community that allows users to discover websites such as ours and rate them. If you enjoy our website at www.towersonthegrove.com, then you could go to Stumbleupon and rate it. That way, others can try it, too. This technology is people-friendly and built for sharing information.

Information on the internet changes rapidly, and with the aid of these three internet tools, Towers on the Grove can share its news with anyone interested in relaxing at the beach at affordable rates!

Featured Recipe - Cool Chicken Salad for a Hot Summer Night

Start with a cooked boneless skinless chicken breast, the most commonly used form of chicken for main dish salads. Alternatively, you can buy fully-cooked chicken strips and cubes in the meat aisle of the supermarket or use leftovers from grilled chicken. Preparation time for this refreshing salad is 20 minutes if you begin with cooked chicken.

INGREDIENTS:

  • 4 peaches, peeled and chopped (alternatively mangoes or nectarines)
  • 2 tsp. lime juice
  • 4 pieces bacon
  • 3 boneless, skinless chicken breast halves, cut into 1" pieces
  • 1/3 cup poppy seed salad dressing
  • 1/2 cup chopped celery
  • 3 cups torn lettuce

DIRECTIONS:

Combine peaches with lime juice in small bowl, toss gently and set aside. Cook bacon in a large nonstick skillet until crisp. Drain bacon on paper towels. Crumble bacon and set aside. Drain bacon fat from skillet, reserving 1 tablespoon drippings. Add chicken to reserved drippings in skillet and cook and stir for 4-6 minutes or until chicken is no longer pink in center. Remove from heat. Toss chicken, salad dressing, celery, reserved chopped peaches, and lettuce in a large bowl.

Place salad on serving plate and sprinkle with bacon.

We really liked the location with the grocery store and restaurants within walking distance. The large beach for morning walks.

Our family had a wonderful vacation at Towers on the Grove. We were impressed with the building, quality and size of our unit and the view was amazing! We appreciated having the use of a washer and dryer in our room. Our check-in, by Roger, was handled in a friendly and efficient manner. He made us feel very welcome and followed up with a courtesy call after check-in, to ensure that we were happy with our unit. Our check-out was equally smooth. All of the staff we encountered were pleasant and helpful. Before arriving at the hotel, I called the reservation telephone number with questions, that were answered to my complete satisfaction. As well, when I had to change the dates of our reservation, the cancellation/change fee was generously waived. Thanks for a great stay! We look forward to returning to Towers on the Grove next year!

Very fast check-in/check-out. Very friendly staff (Michael was excellent!). Rooms were very nice and housekeeping even called to see if we needed anything since we had a "do not disturb" on our door!! That was very nice of them!! We would definitely CHOOSE this resort for a return trip!
Email from the online guest comment for the Towers on the Grove web site from the Sinner family, 05.25.09 for a stay earlier that month

Brad at the front desk was great. He corrected a reservation/room style issue. Mike at the pool was excellent!!!!!!!!!! Great to talk with, very concerned about safety issues. Both stand out as great employees at the hotel!!
Email from the online guest comment for the Towers on the Grove web site from the Moughler family, 05.26.09 for a stay at mid-month

I really enjoyed my stay here at Towers On The Grove. The hotel was immaculate. I took a vacation last year to Myrtle Beach but this was my first time staying in N Myrtle Beach and I'm really looking forward to it again and another wonderful stay at this hotel. Everyone at the hotel was very friendly and they accommodated our wishes as much as they could by putting us on the lowest floor as possible. Thank you very much for such a wonderful stay, and I look forward to many more wonderful vacations at Towers On The Grove.

Hope to see you at the beach, too!

The online marketing strategy for Towers on the Grove is much stronger than many of your nearby competition. I made the decision to stay with you largely due to the large number of photos you posted on Flickr.

There was not a thing I would change. They called to make sure our room was perfect; then they called to see if we needed any housekeeping. Excellent, best experience I could have had.
